January 2022 I spent 2 weeks at the Chateau d’Orquevaux in Champagne, France. My time there reconnected me with Nature and my choice to switch away from canvas to paper brought me back to my illustration and drawing beginnings, also reconnecting me with a sense of whimsy that was lost in the previous series “The Seen.” I mostly used acrylics like water colors and ink pens.
